Trish Henry will enter her fourth season on the Drury volleyball coaching staff as an assistant beginning in 2017.

Since joining the coaching staff, she has helped the Panthers to a 57-34 record, three straight winning seasons and back-to-back appearances in the GLVC tournament. Prior her and head coach Jenifer Bahner’s arrival, Drury had not qualified for the league postseason in back-to-back years in an eight-team tournament format.

Henry served as the assistant coach at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar in the two seasons prior to joining the Panthers staff. Working under then head coach Kelly Richardson, she trained hitters, blockers and coached the defense for the Bearcats who posted their best season in more than two decades in 2013.

Henry previously served as head coach at Monett, Pierce City and Republic high schools over the course of her career, producing four conference titles, six district title match appearances and two district championships. She guided Pierce City to a state final four appearance in 2007. Henry won more than 200 matches in her high school head coaching career posting a .606 winning percentage.

In the winter months, Henry coached club volleyball for two seasons with Club Bear before helping found and coach the Midwest Xplosion for seven years, in the 16U, 17U and 18U age groups.

She is a Marionville native who received a Presidential Scholarship from Missouri State University and she graduated with honors in 2000. A former student manager for the Lady Bears basketball program under coach Cheryl Burnett, Henry later completed her Master's degree in Athletics and Activities Administration from William Woods in 2009.
