Nick Ammann's goal in the 82nd minute lifted No. 24 Drury to a 1-0 victory over Missouri Science & Technology in their Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season men's soccer finale Wednesday night at Harrison Stadium in the Curry Sports Complex.

Ammann's eighth goal of the season, which came off a Jack Mathis assist, pushed the Panthers to 14-3-0 overall and a final second-place finish in the GLVC regular season standings with a 12-3-0 mark.

And now they'll do it all over again.

Drury will enter this weekend's GLVC Championship post-season tournament as the No. 2 seed and play Missouri S&T again on Sunday in a 2:30 p.m. start in the tourney quarterfinals at Harrison/Curry.

The Miners, who fell to 8-7-2 overall and 7-6-2 with Wednesday's loss, were outshot 12-4 by the Panthers, including a 4-1 Drury advantage in shots on goal.

Logan Ponche had one save and picked up his eighth shutout in goal for the Panthers, who finished the regular season 8-0-0 at home.

Drury will enter the GLVC post-season tourney ranked No. 3 in the Midwest Region in the official NCAA-II rankings, from which the top five teams at the end of the GLVC and GLIAC post-season tournaments will advance to the NCAA-II championships. Drury trails GLVC regular season champion Quincy (15-0-2) and GLIAC member Saginaw Valley State (11-2-2) in the rankings.

Northwood (10-3-1) is fourth, followed by Tiffin (11-3-1), Lewis (10-4-2) and UMSL (11-3-2).
