No. 21 Lady Panthers Host Quincy Saturday on Great Southern "Throwback Day"

Coach Molly Miller's nationally 21st-ranked Lady Panthers will play host to Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division rival Quincy in a 1 p.m. tipoff on "Great Southern Throwback Day" Saturday at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

It's a battle of the top two teams in the West with the Lady Panthers sitting at 15-3 overall and 9-1 in the league, while Quincy comes in at 12-6 and 7-3.

Both teams are coming off big wins on Thursday, with Drury pulling away late for a 74-60 victory over Truman State at The O' and the Lady Hawks won 68-52 at Missouri S&T.

Quincy has won seven straight since back-to-back home losses to No. 1 Lewis (88-72) and UW-Parkside (55-54). Miller's Lady Panthers have won 12 of their last 13, and have been victorious in 21 of their last 23 games at The O'.

Coach Jeni Garber's Lady Hawks are extremely balanced this season, with eight players averaging between 6.7 and 10.1 points per game, the team-high latter coming from Carly Bettencourt, a 5-8 senior. Tori Kuhn, a 6-0 junior transfer from Lindenwood, averages 7.7 points and a team-high 6.2 rebounds.

Quincy ranks second in the GLVC in field goal percentage (.452) and 3-pointers made per game (7.5) and third in 3-point percentage (.378).

Annie Armstrong averages 15.2 points, Sanayika Shields adds 11.9 points and a team-high 9.1 rebounds and Addy Roller contributes 10.9 points to lead the Lady Panthers.

Saturday's game, which follows an area girls high school game tipping off at 11 a.m. (doors open at 10:30), can be seen on Mediacom Connections 22 and will air on JOCK 98.7 FM (www.jock987.com). It's also available in a free, live webcast at www.drurypanthers.com/watch.
