A pair of late goals by
Matt Clarkin (77:01) and
Julien Chevy (88:05) gave the Drury men's soccer team a 2-0 GLVC victory over Truman State Sunday at Harrison Stadium/Curry Sports Complex.
Drury is now (6-4-2, 6-2-2 in the GLVC) and Truman State falls to 6-7 overall and 5-5 in the GLVC.
The first half belonged to the defenses with Drury getting just two shots and Truman had just one.
Clarkin netted the game winner off a rebound three yards out with
Charles Guelly credited with the assist. Chevy tacked on a goal with two minutes left in the contest off a
Mitchell Waters assist from five yards out.
Drury outshot Truman State by a 9-4 tally with a 7-3 advantage in the second half. Drury edged out the Bulldogs with four corners to three.
Drury will host Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday, October 16 at Harrison Stadium/Curry Sports Complex at 7:30 p.m.
