Heather Harman scored 21 points on a perfect shooting night off the bench and No. 11 Drury rolled past Lyon College 87-59 in the Lady Panthers' final exhibition game Friday night at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Briana Jones and
Emily Miller added 10 points each for Drury, which will open the season Tuesday (5:30 p.m.) at Southwest Baptist in the annual Bank of Bolivar "Highway 13 Cat Fight."Â
Lyon, ranked No. 17 in NAIA, got 18 points from Taylor Grigg and 16 points from Taylor Gaedtke.
The Lady Panthers led just 40-36 at the half, but exploded for a 32-8 advantage in the third quarter to win going away.
Drury finished with a 33-28 advantage on the boards - led by seven rebounds from freshman
Adrienne Horn - and six from
Hannah Dressler.
The Lady Panthers shot 56 percent from the field (28 of 50), as the sophomore Harman made all eight of her field-goal tries and all four attempts from 3-point range in 24 minutes of time.
