This weekend's Elliott Lodging Properties/Drury Thanksgiving Classic at the O'Reilly Family Event Center at a glance ...

*THE SCHEDULE: Drury (3-0) will play Cameron (3-2) at 3:15 p.m. on Friday and Union (4-0) at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, with "flip partner" Truman State taking on Union at 1 p.m. Friday and Cameron at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the four-game, two-day event.

*THE PROMOTIONS: Friday marks the fourth annual "Free Friday" promotion, with all fans admitted for free to all four games that day (including the DU Lady Panthers vs. St. Paul-Concordia at 5:30 and the Maryville women vs. Trevecca Nazarene at 7:45). Saturday is the first "Santa Saturday," with Santa Claus appearing on the Panther Deck from 3 to 7 p.m. to accept wish lists and take pictures with our young fans. Dessert treats from Andy's Frozen Custard will be available for purchase at the south concession stand and the "Twelve Days of Christmas" prize giveaways will happen on Friday as well.

*RADIO/TV/INTERNET: Both Drury games can be heard on JOCK 98.7 FM (online at www.jock987.com). There will be no live streaming of the games this weekend.

*ABOUT THE PANTHERS: Coach Steve Hesser's squad jumped 11 spots to No. 5 in Tuesday's NABC Top 25 national coaches poll and are off to a 3-0 start with a squad that's still growing accustomed to playing together and mixing new faces into new places. The Panthers rallied to defeat a solid Mid-America Christian team 102-89 last Saturday at The O' with five players finishing in double-figures, led by 26 points from preseason consensus All-America guard Kameron Bundy. Sophomore guard Tevin Foster added 20 points, while senior guard Lucciano Gamiz had his most complete game in two seasons as a Panther with 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Foster is averaging 22.3 points, Bundy 20.7 points and Gamiz 11.3 points as the Panthers' three-headed backcourt has accounted for 61 percent of DU's scoring through the first three games. Nadir Alston, a 6-8 junior, adds 10.0 points and 5.7 rebounds and freshman Douglas Moore is averaging a team-high 7.0 rebounds per contest.

*SCOUTING CAMERON: The Aggies from Lawton, Oklahoma - coincidentally, hometown of Drury players Tevin Foster and Douglas Moore - moved to 3-1 on the season with an 81-64 win over Dallas Christian at home on Tuesday. Cameron, which has held double-digit leads in all five of its games this season, was picked for sixth in this year's Lone Star Conference preseason poll. This will be the Aggies third straight trip to Springfield for the Thanksgiving Classic; Drury holds a 5-2 lead in the all-time series. Cameron Lee, a 6-3 senior, averages 14.8 points to lead four Aggies scoring in double-figures, while Deondre Ray, a 6-5 senior, adds 13.2 points and 6.4 rebounds and 6-6 senior Jamaal Brantley contributes 12.4 points and 7.0 rebounds. JV Long, a 6-1 redshirt freshman, adds 10.6 points for coach Nate Gamet's club.

*SCOUTING UNION: The Bulldogs from Jackson, Tennessee were preseason picks to finish third in the Gulf South Conference and are coming off a 20-11 season in 2014-15 that landed Union an NCAA-II tournament berth. Coach David Niven (170-74) is in his seventh season at Union, which has transitioned well from its recent days as an NAIA power to the NCAA-II level over the past four years. Jordan Montgomery, a 6-6 senior guard and transfer from D-I Kennesaw State who's made 15 of his 23 3-point tries through four games, averages 18.5 points and Marterrace Brock, a 6-4 senior, adds 18.3 points for the Bulldogs, who will be playing DU for the first time.

*ABOUT TRUMAN STATE: Drury's fellow Great Lakes Valley Conference member is making its third straight appearance in the DU Thanksgiving Classic. Coach Chris Foster's squad is off to a 3-1 start, with four players scoring in double-figures led by the 13.8 points per game from 6-3 junior Cory Myers and 13.0 points from 6-1 freshman Jake Velky. Both are shooting .667 from the field, each having made 18 of their 27 shots through four games. The Bulldogs, picked to finish second behind the Panthers in the GLVC West preseason poll of coaches, will return to The O' to face Drury on Saturday, January 30.

*HOT SHOOTING PANTHERS: Typically one of the GLVC and national leaders in FG percentage under Hesser, Drury is shooting .540 from the field as a team, including .512 (22 of 43) from 3-point range.  Gamiz is shooting 73 percent (11 for 15) to pace the Panthers, including 67 percent (6 of 9) from 3-point range.

*BUNDY CLIMBING THE CHARTS: Senior guard Kameron Bundy, named a preseason All-America selection by three different organizations, continues to leave his mark on the Drury record books. His 62 points this season has pushed his four-year total to 1,281, ranking him 22nd on the DU career charts. He needs 37 points to surpass Chris Ijames (1,317 from 2005-09) for 21st and 61 points to move into the Top 20 and past Tony King (1,341 from 1984-88).

*HESSER CLOSING IN ON 250: Drury head coach Steve Hesser, now in his 12th season at the helm of the Panthers and the winningest coach in the program's history, is now 247-88 (a .737 winning percentage) in his DU and collegiate coaching career. That includes an 83-17 record in his last 100 games, dating back to the start of the 2012-13 season, when the Panthers went on to finish 31-4 and claim their first NCAA-II national championship. His DU squads have also captured two of the past three GLVC Championships and made three consecutive NCAA-II tourney appearances in that stretch. Hesser's Panthers are 2-0 this season in games decided by five points or less, continuing his outstanding trend in that regard: In 12 seasons, Hesser's Panthers are 61-26 (.701 win percentage) in that scenario, including 24-7 (.774) since the start of the 2012-13 campaign.

*DRURY AT THE O': Hesser's Panthers are 46-4 at the O'Reilly Family Event Center in their last 50 games and 72-8 overall at the arena that opened on campus at the start of the 2010-11 season.
