GLVC leader Truman State took a GLVC pair from the Drury Softball Panthers 3-2 in extra innings and 7-1 at Thompson Field on Monday.
Drury is now 10-16 and 3-9 GLVC and Truman State improves to 21-5 overall and 11-1 GLVC.
Chantal Oelrich hit her fourth homer of the season with a solo shot to right center in the second to get the Panthers on the board in the opener. Truman knotted the game up in the third with an RBI single.
The Bulldogs went up 2-1 on an RBI walk by Ally McReynolds in the seventh. Oelrich blasted her second homer of the day to tie it at 2 in the bottom of the seventh. It would be Truman with the long ball in the eighth by Jamie Fowle that would be the difference and give the Bulldogs a 3-2 win.
Truman finished with 11 hits led by Alexis VanOstrand with four hits and Drury had five hits. Kindra Henze (10-4) earned the win for the Bulldogs with and
Jessica Kjeldgaard (5-7) received the loss.
The Bulldogs scored six runs on five hits and an error in the fourth inning to jump out to a 6-0 lead in the nightcap. Truman added their final run in the seventh on an RBI sacrifice fly for a 7-0 lead. An RBI single by

Shelby Weissenbach (5-7) received the loss with Henze earning her second win of the day and allowing just two hits with seven strikeouts. Truman had nine hits with two each from Liz Leath and Ashley Murphy.Â

Drury will continue GLVC action tomorrow at Missouri S&T with games set to start at 2 p.m.
