The Drury Softball Panthers will return to Thompson Field this weekend for matches with Illinois Springfield (Friday, 3 p.m.) and McKendree (Sunday, 9 a.m.) in a scheduled altered in an attempt to avoid a wet late-weekend weather forecast.

Carson Forge,
Jordan Herman and Karissa Price - at the conclusion of Friday's twinbill vs. Illinois Springfield, which will be streamed live at www.drurypanthers.com/watch. The annual "Strike Out Cancer/Pink Zone" games will now move to next Tuesday, April 21 when DU plays host to Lincoln in a 3 p.m. non-conference doubleheader to be televised by Mediacom Connections 22.
The Panthers are 16-24 overall and 7-15 in the GLVC heading into Friday's matchup with Illinois Springfield (25-16, 12-10). McKendree is 14-26 and 6-16 before it plays Missouri S&T in Rolla on Friday before visiting Thompson Field on Sunday morning.
Drury is coming off a Tuesday non-conference sweep at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar by scores of 6-0 and 2-1. Forge broke out of a recent slump with two homers and five RBIs in the opener before going 2-for-3 at the plate in Game Two. She's hitting .311 with team highs of 11 homers and 31 RBIs, while sophomore shortstop
Kari Hillenburg - who's 7-for-12 at the dish over her last three games - leads the Panthers with her .343 average and seven stolen bases.
Sophomore left-hander
Jessica Kjeldgaard is 10-11 with a 2.65 ERA after Tuesday's victory in the opener marked her fifth complete-game shutout of the season, while junior right-hander
Shelby Weissenbach is 6-10 with a 3.65 ERA.
