FAST FACTS: Coach Ryan Swan's Panthers, ranked No. 23 in the NSCAA national Top 25 preseason poll, got off to a rough start last weekend, falling 4-2 to Lindenwood on Saturday and 2-0 to Findlay on Sunday in Quincy, Ill., despite out-shooting their opponents a combined 29-18 over the two matches (and 9-2 on goal). ... William Jewell lost 3-2 to Newman on Sept. 3 in its only match to date. ... Rockhurst, which will play host to Missouri S&T on Friday before visiting the Panthers on Sunday, tied No. 7 Lindenwood 5-5 on Tuesday in St. Charles, blowing a 5-1 lead with 18 minutes left in regulation. Lindenwood scored four goals in less than 12 minutes to knot the score with just over six minutes remaining before the teams battled through two scoreless OTs. ...
