Friday's Third Round:
Drury heads to the third round of the NCAA-II national championship tournament as they take on the top seed in the Midwest Region, Rockhurst. Game time is 4 p.m. in Hays, Kansas.
 
The Panthers (13-4-3) advanced with an opening round win last Friday at third seeded Saginaw Valley State, 2-1. Drury, seeded sixth in the region, then took out second seeded Tiffin on Sunday, 2-1. The Panthers are in the NCAA-II tournament for the fourth time in program history and are in the Round of 16 for the second time. Their previous trip to the Sweet 16 was in 2009.
 
Rockhurst had an opening round bye, then beat Southern Indiana 3-1 in Kansas City last Sunday. The Hawks are ranked fifth in the nation, 17-2-2 overall and were winners of the GLVC regular season and postseason tournament.
 
The Hawks defeated Drury earlier this season 5-0 in Kansas City on Oct. 21 and the Hawks lead the all-time series 17-5.
 
The winner of Friday's game plays the winner of the 7 p.m. game on Friday between Lindenwood and Ft. Hays State. The national quarterfinals are on Sunday with a 1 p.m. start in Hays, Kansas.
