St. Charles –Drury junior pitcher
Ryan Colombo pitched six shutout innings and added three hits to help the Drury Baseball Panthers claim a 3-0 win over Winona State at the Maryville Classic played at Lindenwood University on Saturday.
Drury is now 1-5 and Winona State falls to 2-3.
The Panthers struck for a pair of runs in top of the second when
Dylan Bradshaw had an RBI sacrifice fly to plate
Conner Wilson and
John Goodrich followed up with an RBI single to score
Devan O'Bryan.
Drury tacked on their final run in the seventh when O'Bryan sacrificed home Colombo.
Colombo and Goodrich led the Panthers with three hits who finished with nine and held the Warriors to five hits.
Colombo (1-1) earned the three hit shutout win with
Nick Costantino earning the save for the Panthers.
The Drury Baseball Panthers will again face Winona State on Sunday at 11 a.m. in their final game at the Maryville Classic.
