Coach Scott Nasby's Drury baseball Panthers will hit the Great Lakes Valley Conference road for doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday against Truman State in Kirksville, with noon starts each day.

Drury is 9-16 overall and 1-3 in the GLVC entering the series against the Bulldogs (10-15, 2-2), who will conclude a 22-game homestand with the four contests against the Panthers. Truman split four games last weekend at home against nationally ranked Quincy, including a sweep of the Hawks in Friday's opening twinbill.

The Panthers opened GLVC play last weekend with three consecutive losses at Missouri S&T before winning 4-0 in the series finale last Saturday behind eight shutout innings from sophomore pitcher Austin Simms.

Ryan Colombo is batting .318 with 15 runs and nine RBIs to go with four steals, and John Goodrich is hitting .315 with 10 RBIs to lead the Panthers, who have a team-leading 12 runs driven in by Conner Wilson for a team batting .250 as a unit.

Colombo is 3-2 with a 1.46 ERA and Ryan Wedermyer has four saves and a 1.74 ERA in 11 appearances to pace the DU pitching staff, which enters the series with a 5.05 staff earned run average.

Junior shortstop Nick Agliolo is hitting .420 with 22 runs scored and sophomore left fielder Adam Gregorich is batting .362 to lead the Bulldogs, who are hitting .305 as a team. The Bulldogs have a pitching staff ERA of 6.81.

Drury and Truman met six times last season, with the Bulldogs winning four times, including beating the Panthers twice to knock them out of the NCAA-II Midwest Regional. DU was picked second to TSU's third in the GLVC West preseason poll this season.
