SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A Drury goal 48 seconds into the game proved to be the difference as the Panthers held off West Texas A&M for a 1-0 win Saturday at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex.

In the game's first minute, Charles Guelly burst down the left wing, found space and put the ball past Buffalos goalkeeper Casey Tilly in what turned out to be the game's only goal. The goal was Guelly's second of the season. The junior from Paris, France had a goal and an assist in Drury's opener on Thursday. Pierre Villez picked up the assist on the goal for the Panthers.

Drury's goal was their only shot in the first half. Panthers goalkeeper Nicolas Hein made four saves while West Texas A&M outshot Drury 12-5.

Drury opens their Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule for their next game. The Panthers host Indianapolis on Friday at the Cooper Soccer Complex. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
