Panthers face UMSL in key GLVC match
Drury returns home to face Missouri-St. Louis on Friday night in a key match-up in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Panthers are 5-5-1 and 4-4-1 in the GLVC while UMSL is 5-5-2 and 5-4-1 in the league. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Friday's game is also Alumni Night at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex and the team will honor their former players in a ceremony at halftime.

Drury is in ninth place in the conference but a win over the Tritons on Friday would vault them past UMSL who enters the game tied for seventh. The Panthers will be looking for their first win in three games as they have gone 0-2-1 in that span and are coming off of a 0-0 tie at Maryville on Sunday. UMSL has won two of their last three with a loss in their last contest to fifth ranked Rockhurst, 2-0, on Sunday in St. Louis.

The all-time series is tied 8-8-3 with Drury having won last year's game in a 2-0 win at home on Oct. 2. Drury is 2-0-1 in their last three games against UMSL. The Tritons last win over the Panthers was in 2013 in a 2-1 victory in St. Louis.

UMSL features the top scorer in the GLVC. Pat Ries leads the conference in goals with 8 and in points with 19. Drury's Ben Bruce is tied for the league lead in shots with 41 while Pierre Villez is tied for the conference lead in assists with 6.

Following Friday's game, the Panthers are at home again on Sunday as the host McKendree. Game time is 2:30 p.m. and the Drury will honor their graduating players as part of Senior Day at Harrison Stadium.
