Brad Gregory, Kiana (Bock) Miller, Trish Marsh to be among Filbert Five honorees at Missouri Sports Hall of Fame

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Two former Drury basketball players and a former women's basketball assistant coach will be honored as Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Filbert Five honorees in the organization's annual Basketball Tipoff Luncheon on Wednesday.

Former men's basketball player Brad Gregory, former Lady Panther Kiana (Bock) Miller, and former women's basketball assistant coach Trish Marsh are among the award recipients.

Brad Gregory played for Drury from 1974-78 and was part of the Panthers rise to national prominence in the late '70's. Gregory was an all-state performer in high school at Montgomery City where he averaged 19.4 points as a senior and helped the Wildcats to a third place finish in Class 2 in 1974. He was a four-year letterman for Drury, and during his senior year, was part of a Panthers team that was ranked number one in the NAIA for most of the season and advanced to the quarterfinals in the 1978 national championship tournament.

Kiana (Bock) Miller played for Drury from 2004-06 before injuries ended her collegiate career. The Lady Panthers advanced to the NCAA-II tournament in both of her seasons at Drury. Bock was a four-time all-state selection at Stockton High School and scored 2,142 career points during her high school career. She led Stockton to three state championships in addition to a third place finish.

Trish (Van Diggelen) Marsh was a part of the Drury Lady Panthers original coaching staff and served as an assistant under head coach Nyla Milleson from 1999 to 2007. She saw the program go from its inception in 2000-01 to earning trips to five NCAA-II tournaments and a national runner-up finish in 2004. As a high school player, she was a two-time all-state performer at Marshfield and was part of the Lady Jays 32-0 season capped by the Class 3 state title in 1988. Marsh is currently the head coach at Glendale High School.

The Filbert Five is named after the late Gary Filbert, a successful high school basketball coach who was the founder of the Show-Me State Games as well as the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association.

Among the Hall of Fame inductees on Wednesday is the Kickapoo High School girls basketball program. The Lady Chiefs had several players who went on to playing careers at Drury including current Lady Panthers head coach Molly Miller.

The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame will also be inducting former Missouri University basketball standout Doug Smith, high school head coach Terry Writer, and high school head coach Lynn Long.

The luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center in Springfield.
