SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury men's basketball will vie for a spot in the title game of the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Basketball Championship Saturday (March 7) when they square off against No. 4 Indianapolis in the semifinal round at the Mark Twain Building in St. Louis.
Drury (16-13, 10-10 GLVC) notched its first GLVC Tournament victory Thursday evening with its 101-92 win over top-seeded Rockhurst in the quarterfinal round, stopping an 11-game win streak for the league's regular-season champion.
Indianapolis (17-12, 14-6 GLVC) held off Missouri S&T in Friday's quarterfinal round, topping the Miners by a 75-67 score. Shaun Arnold led the Hounds with a team-high 22 points and 15 rebounds, setting a UIndy program record for rebounds in a conference tournament game.
The winner of Saturday's semifinal will face off against the winner of McKendree and William Jewell in the other semifinal contest, which will tip off at 7:45 p.m.
For the fifth year in a row, all GLVC Championship action will be streamed live for $15 per game or $40 for the full tournament on GLVCSN.com, the GLVCSN iOS and Android mobile apps, and GLVCSN OTT apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV. All spectators attending in person will be required to pre-purchase tickets online at GLVCsports.com/tickets. No cash will be accepted on site.

SERIES HISTORY
- The Panthers and Greyhounds have evenly split their previous 22 meetings (11-11).
- Drury has taken the last two contests in the series, including a 107-89 victory in Springfield in their lone matchup of the season on Jan. 24.
- The Greyhounds have won eight of the last 11 meetings in the series dating back to 2017.
- The Panthers are 2-4 vs. the Greyhounds under Chris Foster, who has gone 5-10 overall against the Greyhounds over his 12-year career.
TOURNAMENT STORYLINES
- Drury is making its 17th appearance in the GLVC Championship.
- The Panthers improved to 22-13 overall in the tourney and advanced to the semifinal round for the 13th time (and first since 2021) with their 101-92 quarterfinal victory over top-seeded Rockhurst on Thursday.
- DU is 5-7 in its previous GLVC Tournament semifinal appearances, but has won its last two (2019 and 2021).
- The Panthers have won three GLVC Tournament titles (2008, 2013 and 2015) in their 21 seasons in the conference.
- Zach Howell led Drury with 25 points Thursday, topping the 500-point mark for the season -- the 38th 500-point season in DU history.
- Howell received plenty of help in Thursday's victory, as six of the seven Panthers who played in the contest scored at least 11 points, including a combined 47 points from DU's four freshmen, Keion Epps (16), Isaiah Otyaluk (11), Kevin Sargeant (4) and KeShaun Thomas (16).
- The victory marked Drury's first in the GLVC Tournament since March 6, 2021, when the Panthers defeated UMSL, 79-63 in the semifinal round.
- The 101-point performance was the Panthers' fifth 100+point effort this season, which is just two shy of the program record of seven (2017-18).
- Thomas (435 points) moved into fourth place on Drury's all-time freshman scoring list, surpassing Gail Frederick (430) in Thursday's win over Rockhurst.
- Howell ran his season total to 94 three-point field goals, which is tied with UIndys Carmelo Harris for the top total in the GLVC this season; Howell's total also ranks fifth in Drury history.
