RENSSLAER, Ind.- Drury ended their first Great Lakes Valley Conference road trip with a doubleheader sweep at Saint Joseph's on Sunday winning 6-2 in game one and 7-2 in the second game.

The Panthers improved to 12-13 and 2-2 in the GLVC. Saint Joseph's dropped to 5-12 and 0-2 in the conference.

Trailing in game one 1-0, Drury scored four runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh for a 6-2 win.
Taylor Ellestad's double drove in two runs in the sixth to break a 1-1 tie to give the Panthers a 3-1 lead. Drury took advantage of two errors by the Pumas in the seventh inning to tack on two more runs.

Kari Hillenburg went 2 for 3 at the plate with a run scored and a walk.
Kaelie Smith and Ellestad both had two hits in the win.

Jessica Kjeldgaard (6-8) got the win going seven innings allowing eight hits and two runs with no walks and eight strikeouts.

The Panthers took game two on the strength of a six-run fifth inning. Drury broke a 1-1 tie in the inning on a bases loaded single by
Hannah Hearst. The Panthers then opened up the lead in the fifth on a three-RBI double by
Kelley Conway.

Hillenburg went 2 for 3 in the second game with a RBI and a double.
Destiny Bolen (6-5) got the win in relief going 5.1 innings allowing six hits and one run with three walks and one strikeout.

Drury returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Lincoln for a non-conference doubleheader. The first pitch for game one is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Jefferson City, Missouri. The Panthers play their first home game on Saturday, March when they host Southern Indiana at Thompson Field for a noon doubleheader.
