SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After their first 27 games have been played away from home, Drury softball will finally play on their home field this weekend and the threat of rain on Saturday moved their home opener one day closer. The Panthers will host 14^th ranked Southern Indiana on Friday at 10 a.m. at Thompson Field.
 
The Panthers are 14-13 and 2-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Drury enters the weekend with a four-game winning streak having swept Saint Joseph's on Sunday and Lincoln on Tuesday.
 
Kaelie Smith leads Drury at the plate hitting .362 with one home run and a team-leading 23 runs batted in. She is coming off of a 5 for 7 day at the plate on Tuesday at Lincoln and has hits in five of her last six games. Taylor Ellestad is hitting .341 with 13 RBI's.
 
Jessica Kjeldgaard is 7-8 with a 3.38 earned run average and one save. The senior from Council Bluffs, Iowa is coming off of a shutout win over Lincoln on Tuesday as she allowed just four hits with one walk and three strikeouts in a 3-0 win. Destiny Bolen is 7-5 with a 4.20 ERA and has wins in her last two appearances.
 
Southern Indiana, ranked 14^th in NCAA-II, is 21-5 and 2-2 in the league. The Screaming Eagles split doubleheaders at home against William Jewell and Rockhurst for a 2-2 conference start.
 
Drury plays at home against Bellarmine on Sunday. The Knights enter the week 13-15 and 1-3 in the GLVC. Bellarmine plays at Missouri S&T in a doubleheader on Friday before they come to Springfield.
