SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury University softball returns home for a Tuesday non-conference doubleheader against Rogers State. Game one will start at 3 p.m. at Thompson Field in Springfield.
The Panthers are 18-27. Last weekend, they were swept in a doubleheader at Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday and they split two games at Maryville.
Rogers State comes to Springfield with a 26-18 record. The Hillcats are 5-10 in the Heartland Conference and own an 11-10 record on the road.
Kelley Conway leads Drury's offense with a .328 average. She enters the week with two home runs and 15 runs batted in.
Kaelie Smith is hitting .318 with a home run and a team-leading 27 RBI's.
Jessica Kjeldgaard starts the week with a 9-15 record in the pitching circle with a 3.17 ERA.
Destiny Bolen is the other starting pitcher for the Panthers and is 9-12 with a 4.39 ERA.
Rogers State is led by Kenzie Lloyd with a .420 batting average. De'Leigh Emarthle has 10 home runs to lead the Hillcats and Morgan Blanchard has a .370 average with eight homers and a team-leading 45 RBI's.
Megan Rosewell leads the Hillcats pitching staff with a 21-15 record in 37 games and 34 starts. She owns a 2.77 ERA and has pitched 192.1 innings so far this season.
Tuesday's doubleheader will be televised by MC-22 on Mediacom. Both games will be broadcast on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night at 7 p.m.
