Panthers play home opener Tuesday vs Missouri Southern St. 
The Panthers play at home for the first time this season as they host Missouri Southern State on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
Drury is 8-2 and off to their best start through 10 games since 1993. The Panthers split two games on the road last week as they opened play in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Drury won at Missouri S&T on Thursday in five sets then lost at Indianapolis 3-1 on Saturday.
 
Missouri Southern is 7-5 and has already won more games this season than they did all of last year when they were 6-25. The Lions went 2-2 last week in a crossover tournament hosted by Southern Nazarene. On Saturday, Missouri Southern beat East Central 3-0 and lost to Northwestern Oklahoma State 3-1. The Lions fell to Southern Nazarene 3-1 and defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State 3-0 on Friday.
 
The Panthers won last year's meeting 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-21) in Joplin but the Lions lead the all-time series 51-23. Drury has won the last four games head-to-head. Missouri Southern's last win over the Panthers was a 3-0 victory in Joplin in 2010. 
 
Drury returns to conference play on Friday as they play two home games this weekend. The Panthers host Maryville on Friday for a 7 p.m. match. Drury then takes on Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
