Drury started their season with a 3-0 win against Northeastern State at home last Thursday. The Panthers got a pair of second half goals from
Ben Bruce while
Dean McConnell scored in the first half to get Drury on the board. Goalkeeper
Nic Helin stopped all three shots on goal he faced as the junior from France picked up his 15
th career shutout.

Northwood lost their season opener at Maryville 1-0 on Friday. The Saints got the game's lone goal in the 63
rd minute. The Timberwolves outshot Maryville 4-3 but only two Northwood shots made it on goal while all three of the Saints' shots were on target.

Northwood went 11-4-3 last year and went unbeaten at home going 8-0-1. The Timberwolves were picked to finish fourth this season in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference coaches' poll.

Sunday's game is the first meeting between the two teams in a decade. Drury won in Michigan 3-1 during the 2007 season. The two teams battled to a 1-1 tie in Springfield in 2006.

The Panthers play their third straight home game next Friday. Drury hosts Wisconsin-Parkside in their GLVC opener. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex.
