The 13th ranked Drury Panthers host William Jewell in Drury's last regular season home game of 2018. Game time is 7 p.m. in O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Drury is 24-4, in first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 14-2 league record, and is ranked 13th in NCAA-II. The Panthers can clinch at least a share of the GLVC regular season championship with a win on Tuesday. Drury leads Illinois Springfield (21-6, 12-3) and Lewis (21-6, 12-3) by one game in the loss column. Should UIS and Lewis both lose on Tuesday, the Panthers would clinch league's regular season title. The Prairie Stars are at Missouri-St. Louis on Tuesday while Lewis is at home against Indianapolis. After Tuesday's game, the Drury has just one game remaining on their regular season schedule, a road contest at Rockhurst on Friday night.
William Jewell is 11-19 and 5-11 in the GLVC. The Cardinals won at the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday rallying from two sets down. William Jewell lost the opening set 25-12, then the second 25-17, but bounced back to win the next two sets 25-23 and won the match with a 16-14 victory in the fifth.
Tuesday's meeting is the second meeting this season between the two teams. Drury won 3-0 over the Cardinals on Sept. 7 at the O' (25-15, 25-19, 26-24). Tuesday's game was originally scheduled to be played in Liberty later this week, but a scheduling conflict at William Jewell forced the game to Drury's campus.
