INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Drury Softball dropped their sixth straight game, getting swept in a GLVC doubleheader with 20
th-ranked Indianapolis Friday afternoon at Baumgartner Field. DU fell 8-5 in game one, before falling in game two, 9-7 due to darkness.
The loss drops the Panthers to 3-9, 0-2 GLVC on the season. UINDY improved to 12-4, 2-0 GLVC.

In the opener Drury held a 4-0 lead over the Greyhounds after the top of the fourth, but UINDY rallied to score three runs in each of the third and fourth innings to claim a 6-4 lead. UINDY added a pair of runs in the fifth to extend their lead to 8-4.
The Panthers scored a run in the top of the seventh and ended the game with the bases loaded.
Drury out-hit the Greyhounds 12-10, but stranded 13 runners in the loss. Â
Destiny Bolen went 2-for-2 and had two hits and two RBIs.Â
Kelley Conway and
Megan Holmes each had two hits and scored runs.

In the nightcap, it was a back and forth battle with UIDY scoring three runs in the first then Drury taking a 4-3 lead with four runs in the second. The Greyhounds continued to produce runs with four runs in the second and two more in the third for a 9-4 lead after the third.
In the Panther fourth Jacy Ummel and Holmes had back to back RBI hits and an RBI fielders choice by Madison Hecker cut the UINDY lead to 9-7. The game was called due to darkness after the bottom of the fifth inning. Â
Ummel went 3-for-3 for the Panthers and finished with three RBIs and a run scored. UINDY out-hit Drury 10-9.

The Panthers are back in action Monday afternoon for a doubleheader at Emmanuel College. Game one against the Lions is set for a 2 p.m. opening pitch.
