SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The Drury Panthers swept a doubleheader from Lincoln with an 8-1 win in the first game and a 6-0, three-hit shutout in game two on Tuesday at Thompson Field in Springfield.

Drury improved to 13-19 and picked up their third win in their last four games. Lincoln's record dropped to 5-33.

Kasey Cazares allowed only one run on just three hits in Drury's game one victory. She matched a season-high with eight strikeouts and reached that total for the second straight game as she improved to 5-6 with the win.
The Panthers blew open a 1-0 lead scoring four runs in the third inning. Drury took advantage of two Lincoln errors in the frame and would tack on three more runs in the fifth highlighted by a solo home run by
Dominique Salinas. Salinas ended the game going 2 for 2 with three runs scored.

In game two, Madison Resch (3-9) fired a three-hit shutout and allowed no walks while striking out six.
Drury scored three runs in the third to take the lead as they got a sacrifice fly from Emaree Stone and a two-out, two-RBI single from Madison Hecker.
Jacy Ummel went 3 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI-triple.

The Panthers return to conference action on Saturday when they travel to McKendree for a doubleheader. Game one starts at noon in Lebanon, Illinois.Â
