Kasey Cazares fires 4-hit shutout at UMSL

ST. LOUIS, Mo.- Drury starting pitcher Kasey Cazares fired a four-hit shutout in a 5-0 Panthers win at the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday. The game was the second half of Saturday's doubleheader that was postponed by rain.

Cazares (6-8) worked all seven innings allowing four hits and one walk with three strikeouts. It was her first complete-game shutout this season.

Drury got on the board in the third inning with an RBI-triple by Emily Stringer. The Panthers took a 2-0 lead in the sixth on a solo home run by Hailly Greenough, her team-leading fourth homer of the year. Drury put the game out of reach with three more runs in the seventh capped by a two-run bomb by Jacy Ummel.

Ummel went 2 for 4 at the plate with two runs, two RBI's, a double and the home run was her first of the season.

The Panthers hung a loss on UMSL starter Casey Kingery (11-4), who yesterday struck out 12 batters and held Drury to just three hits.
