SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The Drury Panthers split a doubleheader with Missouri S&T on Monday at Thompson Field in Springfield as they lost game one 7-4 but took the second game 7-1.

Drury took a 3-0 lead in the third inning of game one, but Missouri S&T responded with four runs in the fourth. The Lady Miners tacked on two runs in the fifth and another run in the sixth inning.

Jacy Ummel led Drury going 2 for 3 at the plate with a run, an RBI and a double.
Emily Stringer also had two hits for the Panthers going 2 for 4.

Drury won game two as starting pitcher Kasey Cazares picked up the win going seven innings allowing four hits, one unearned run, two walks and she matched a season-high with eight strikeouts.

Natalie Lopez hit her first home run of the season with a two-run shot to center field in the second inning. Hailly Greenough went 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI.Â
Monday's game two victory was
Jerry Breaux's 750th career win as a collegiate head softball coach. His record in 25 seasons stands at 750-421-2. Breaux is in his first season at Drury after spending 22 years at Evangel University and two at Louisiana State-Alexandria.Â

The Panthers are home again tomorrow as they host Lincoln University in a doubleheader that starts at 2 p.m. at Thompson Field.
