ST. LOUIS, Mo.– A penalty kick 10 minutes into the second half by Maya Ware gave Missouri-St. Louis a 1-0 victory over Drury in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Don Dallas Field in St. Louis on Sunday.
The Tritons moved their overall record to 2-3 and are now 1-1 in GLVC play. The Panthers fell to 0-5-1 and 0-2 in the league.
Ware's PK at 54:45 was one of three shots on goal the Tritons had, who outshot Drury 10-6, and finished with an 8-4 advantage on corners.
The Panthers will return to action on Friday as they host Maryville at Harrison Stadium/The Curry Sports Complex for a conference match starting at 11 a.m.
