10^th ranked Panthers put eight-game winning streak on the line vs Missouri Southern St.
The 10th ranked Drury Panthers put their eight-game winning streak on the line when they host Missouri Southern State in a non-conference game Tuesday night at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. Drury is 12-2 while the Lions enter the game 2-12.
 
Both teams are coming off of five-set wins, and both clubs battled from two sets down to win. The Panthers defeated fourth-ranked Lewis 3-2 (23-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-21, 17-15) Saturday while Missouri Southern rallied to beat Missouri Western 3-2 (14-25, 15-25, 27-25, 25-23, 15-13) on Saturday.
 
Tuesday's game is the second meeting of the season between the two teams. Drury beat the Lions 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-14) in the Peggy Martin Classic hosted by the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg on Aug. 24. The game was the first of the season for Missouri Southern and Drury's second game of the season.
 
The Panthers have won the last six meetings against Missouri Southern. The last win the Lions had against Drury was in 2007.
 
Drury returns to conference play on Friday when they travel to McKendree for a 7 p.m. match in Lebanon, Illinois.
