Panthers in home and GLVC opener vs. William Jewell
In a week that has seen them gain their first NCAA-II national ranking in program history, the Drury Panthers play their first home game as well as their Great Lakes Valley Conference opener as they host William Jewell on Friday at 7 p.m. at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

The Panthers are 6-2 and ranked 22nd in the nation. Drury cracked the top 25 after picking up four wins over nationally ranked teams in the first two weeks of the season. The Panthers have beaten #4 Florida Southern, #14 Arkansas Tech, #4 Ferris State, and #25 Tampa. Drury's only two losses have been on the road at ranked opponents with losses to #22 Central Missouri and #23 Florida Southern.

Willam Jewell is 2-6 and will also be playing their conference opener. The Cardinals went 1-3 in the Washburn Tournament picking up a win against Colorado at Colorado Springs and went 1-3 in the Rockhurst Invitational with a win over Emporia State.

Drury won both meetings with William Jewell last year winning at home 3-0 and taking the final game of the regular season 3-2 in Liberty. The Panthers have won 23 of the 26 meetings between the two teams in the all-time series.

After Friday's game, the Panthers are home on Saturday when they take on 8th ranked Rockhurst at 3 p.m. at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
