Drury comes up short in 2-0 loss to Indianapolis

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Drury came up short on Sunday as Indianapolis scored two second-half goals to earn a 2-0 win over the Panthers at Harrison Stadium on Sunday.

The loss dropped Drury to 7-6-1 and 5-5-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Greyhounds improved to 9-3-1 and 7-3-1 in the GLVC.

The Panthers had two scoring chances early, both coming on shots from Pablo Berrogain. Both rolled just wide of the net, however, and the teams battled to a scoreless draw at halftime.

Indianapolis broke through in the 49th minute on a goal from Alejandro Steinwascher, and the Greyhounds took a 2-0 fourteen minutes later on Bryan Moreira's goal. Javier Steinwascher assisted on both tallies for Indianapolis.

Before the game, Drury honored their two senior players, Trent Williams and Hector Marin, as part of Senior Day and the final regular season home game of the year.

The Panthers return to action on Friday for a 7:30 pm game against Lindenwood in St. Charles, Missouri.
