Panthers return to O'Reilly this weekend
The Drury Panthers return to the O'Reilly Family Event Center this weekend looking to snap a four-game losing streak as they host Truman State on Friday at 7 pm and Quincy on Saturday at 3 pm.

The Panthers are 13-11 and 7-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. After a perfect seven-game start to their league season, Drury lost four straight falling three times in the Crossover Tournament in Indianapolis last weekend, then in four sets at Arkansas Tech on Tuesday (25-19, 25-21, 21-25, 25-20). The Panthers are alone in first place in the GLVC as they own a one-game lead over Rockhurst and a two-game advantage over four teams that are tied for third.

Drury's Julia McCown enters the weekend ranked seventh in the GLVC in kills per set (3.45), while Makina Wratten is fifth in blocks (1.16 per set). Paige Perry's 4.35 digs per set have her ranked seventh in the conference.

Truman State is 9-13 and 2-5 in the conference. The Bulldogs defeated Ursaline in the Crossover Tournament before suffering losses to Wisconsin-Parkside and Wayne State. Truman State's Lauren Wacker leads the GLVC in digs averaging 5.72 per set.

Quincy is 10-13 and 3-4 in the league. The Hawks won two of their three matches in the Crossover Tournament with a 3-1 win over Malone, a five-set win against Northwood, and a 3-2 loss to Kentucky Wesleyan. Quincy's Sarah Brown leads the conference in hitting percentage with a .376 mark, and Makayla Knoblauch's 9.51 assists per set have her ranked seventh in the league.

After this weekend, the Panthers go back on the road next weekend. Drury is at Maryville on Nov. 1 and Missouri S&T on Nov. 2.
