ST. LOUIS, Mo. –
John Clout netted the game winner with three minutes left in the second overtime to give the Drury men's soccer team 2-1 victory over UMSL in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Lou Fusz Complex on Sunday.
Mitchell Vaughn had the assist in the game winner.
Drury scored their first goal four minutes into the second half when
Pablo Berrogain scored off a
Hector Marin assist. UMSL answered quickly six minutes later in the 55
th minute with a goal to tie it up and force overtime play.
Drury ousthot UMSL for the game 19-7 and finished with a commanding 8-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Drury moves to 8-6-2 overall and 6-5-2 in the GLVC and UMSL is now 6-10 overall and 4-9 in the GLVC.
Drury will take on Lewis on Friday, November 1
st with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
