LEBANON, Ill.- Drury battled back to win a five-set match at McKendree 3-2 on Saturday in Lebanon, Illinois. The win is Drury's eighth in their last nine games and gives them a perfect 4-0 start in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. McKendree fell to 6-9 and 1-3 in the league with the loss.

The Panthers lost the opening set 25-18, won the second set, but fell in the third 25-17. Drury stayed alive winning the fourth set 25-20 and won five of the last six points to win the fifth 15-11.

Drury featured a balanced attack as freshman
Julia McCown led the team with 13 kills,
Makina Wratten added 12, and
Taylor Forth contributed 11.
Paige Perry added 24 digs, and Wratten posted five block assists.

The Panthers, now 10-7 overall, played their sixth five-set match of the season and improved to 2-4 when games go the distance.Â

Drury continues their road trip on Tuesday with a 7 pm match at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri.
