Kellen Mast steps down as head coach of Drury's men's golf

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Kellen Mast announced his resignation as Drury University's head men's golf coach pursue an opportunity in private business.  
 
Mast was in his 13th season as head coach at Drury and during his tenure, led the Panthers to four NCAA-II Super Regional appearances in addition to four top-three finishes at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship tournament. In addition, Mast saw seven individuals reach the NCAA regional, including three in each of the last three seasons. Mast also guided Drury to four tournament championships, had nine individuals win tournaments, and his teams produced 12 All-GLVC performers.
 
"My 13 years here at Drury have been an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," said Mast. "While I am excited about this next chapter for my family and me, I will miss the players and competition greatly. I have been blessed to be able to coach some amazing young men and work with the best staff in all of Division-II athletics. Drury is a special place, and I will forever be a Panther!"
 
Mast had the fourth-longest tenure among Drury's 21 head coaching positions.
 
"I'm excited for Kellen to have this opportunity," said Drury Vice President and Director of Athletics, Corey Bray. "His teams have consistently performed well on the course and in the classroom. We will miss him at Drury, but I wish him the best and have no doubt he will be a success as he moves on to another challenge."
 
Drury University will immediately begin a national search for its next men's golf head coach.
