CLINTON, Miss.- Drury split two games on Saturday with an 8-7 win over Missouri Southern State and a 4-1 loss to Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi.

In their first game on Saturday, the Panthers lost their grip on a 6-3 lead against Missouri Southern (1-2) in the fifth inning but scored a run in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game at 7-7, then scored the winning run in the sixth.

Jacy Ummel to give Drury the lead for good.

Kaelie Smith went 2 for 3 with three runs scored while
Samantha Miller went 2 for 2 with two runs batted in, a run scored and a double.
Daisy Dudek (2-0) got the win in 2.2 innings of relief for the Panthers.

Drury fell into an early hole against Mississippi College (11-3) in their second game allowing a run in the first inning and three more in the second. The Panthers got on the board in the fourth as
Kinzy Mathis scored from second base on a throwing error by the Choctaws catcher.

Hailey Greenough pitched five scoreless innings of relief to keep Drury in the game but the Panthers stranded nine runners and had the tying run at the plate in the seventh, but a 6-4-3 double-play closed out the game for Mississippi College.

Jacy Ummel, and
Megan Holmes all had two hits each for Drury in the loss.Â

The Panthers ended the day with a 5-3 record and will play the same two teams tomorrow with an 11 a.m. start against Missouri Southern, and a 1 p.m. first pitch against the Choctaws in Clinton, Mississippi.
