CLERMONT, Fla. -  The Drury Softball Panthers split a pair, winning the opener 9-0 over Urbana University before dropping the nightcap 4-2 to CAL PA at Hancock Park Field on Tuesday in Spring Break action.

The Panthers 15-6, Urbana dropped to 0-11 and CAL PA 3-9

In the opener, Drury wasted no time getting on the board when they scored four runs in the opening frame.  A three-run homer in the third by Madoline Seumalo pushed the Panther lead 7-0.  Drury added a run in each of the fourth and fifth innings for the 9-0 run rule victory.

Seumalo led the Panthers at the plate with a 2-for-3 game and three RBIs with a run scored.  Taylor Nordwald (2-0) earned the win and allowed four hits in four innings.

In game two, Drury struck first on an RBI triple in the second by Kaelie Smith to score Samantha Miller.  The Vulcans tied it up in the fourth on a Panther error and went on top 3-1 after scoring a pair in the fifth.  Cal PA added their final run in the sixth and Drury scratched across their final run in the seventh on a Megan Holmes RBI single.
