CLERMONT, Fla. - The Drury Softball Panthers split a pair, winning the opener 9-0 over Urbana University before dropping the nightcap 4-2 to CAL PA at Hancock Park Field on Tuesday in Spring Break action.
The Panthers 15-6, Urbana dropped to 0-11 and CAL PA 3-9
In the opener, Drury wasted no time getting on the board when they scored four runs in the opening frame. A three-run homer in the third by
Madoline Seumalo pushed the Panther lead 7-0. Drury added a run in each of the fourth and fifth innings for the 9-0 run rule victory.
Seumalo led the Panthers at the plate with a 2-for-3 game and three RBIs with a run scored.
Taylor Nordwald (2-0) earned the win and allowed four hits in four innings.

Samantha Miller. The Vulcans tied it up in the fourth on a Panther error and went on top 3-1 after scoring a pair in the fifth.
Cal PA added their final run in the sixth and Drury scratched across their final run in the seventh on a Megan Holmes RBI single.
The Panthers next scheduled contest is on Wednesday, March 13 when they play Lake Erie at 12:30 pm and then will take on Kutztown at 2:45 p.m. (CST) in Clermont, Florida.
