SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The Drury Panthers are home for the first time since April 2nd as they host Quincy and Truman State for doubleheaders this weekend at Thompson Field. Drury starts their weekend with Quincy on Friday at 2 pm and then will take on Truman State on Saturday at noon.
 
The Panthers are 31-14, 10-8 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and are ranked 10th in the Midwest Region. Drury's 31 wins are the second-most in the 12-year history of the program, trailing only the 2012 team that finished 36-19.
 
Quincy is 17-21 and 7-13 in the GLVC. The Hawks are coming off of a split of a doubleheader against Illinois Springfield on Monday.
 
Truman State is 25-12, 11-9 in the GLVC, and was swept in a doubleheader on Tuesday at Central Missouri. Prior to Tuesday's setbacks, however, the Bulldogs had won nine in a row, and they outscored their opponents 67-6 during the streak.
 
Diamond Notes
--Jacy Ummel ranks 5^th in the GLVC in hitting (.413), 2^nd in runs scored (44), 2^nd in hits (57) and 2^nd in walks (24).
--Kinzy Mathis has homered in her last two games having gone deep in both halves of Tuesday's doubleheader at Lincoln. Mathis leads the GLVC in RBI's with 44 and is tied for 3^rd in the league with seven home runs.
--Kasey Cazares is 3-0 with a 0.88 ERA in her last three starts.
--On Saturday, the Panthers will see Truman St. OF Christa Reisinger, the reigning NCAA-II Player of the Week. The senior leads the GLVC in nearly every offensive category hitting .576 (she is 68 for 118), with 9 home runs, 30 runs batted in, and she has stolen 40 bases – nearly doubling the total of the next closest player in the conference.
