During the next several weeks, Drury Athletics will reveal the Drury Dozen – over favorite 12 moments from the 2018-19 sports season. The list was voted on by members of the Drury University athletics staff and others that covered DU Athletics during the year.
The list on this countdown does not reflect the most significant moments from the year, although the magnitude of the game or event certainly played a part in our decision.
Ultimately, these were our
favorite moments from the previous year and the ones that we will likely always associate with the 2018-19 Drury sports season.
#12 – Men's Tennis wins at 23rd ranked Wayne State in the NCAA-II tournament's 2nd round
The Panthers advanced to the round of 16 and the NCAA-II tournament's final site for the third straight season with a 4-2 win at sub-regional host and 23rd ranked Wayne State.
All three of Drury's wins in the singles matches went three sets, and each round was hotly contested as the Panthers knocked off a Warriors team that was 21-3.
