Karol Ostrowski (Fr., Poland) won the 50 Free, 100 Fly, and 200 Free Relay on Friday at S&T
ROLLA, Mo.— Freshman
Karol Ostrowski won two individual events and helped Drury to a relay win on Friday in the Panthers swimming & diving dual at Missouri S&T in Rolla. Those three events represented each Drury win the dual as the Miners earned a 134-71 victory.
The Panthers finished 1-2-3 in the 50 Freestyle led by Ostrowski as the native of Poland posted a time of 20.54. He edged teammate
Dawid Nowodworski's time of 20.58 while
Caleb Carlson was third (20.72).
Ostrowski returned to win the 100 Butterfly with a time of 48.97.
Drury's 200 Free Relay team ended the day with a first-place finish. Ostrowski,
James Brown,
Ahmed Wahby, and
Jan Rasmussen combined for a time of 1:23.75, edging Missouri S&T by 0.15 seconds.
The Drury men's and women's swimming & diving teams are back in competition on Saturday hosting Oklahoma Christian. The duals start at 1 pm in the Breech Pool on the DU campus.
