RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.—
Beau Browning and
Hunter Baird from the Drury University bass fishing team finished 20
th out of 204 boats at the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open at Lake Dardanelle near Russellville, Arkansas, last weekend.
Heath Pinell and Taylor Knowles from Louisiana State won the event catching their limit of 10 fish in the two-day event totaling 24.89 pounds. A boat from Tennessee came in second, while Adrian (Mich.) had a duo finish third.
Browning and Baird landed eight fishing totaling 17.22 pounds. Drury's
Cole Breeden and
Brant Rowland caught eight fish and brought in 14.90 pounds to finished 25
th, while
Sam Engelmeyer and
Jake Peck hauled in five fish and a total of 7.86 pounds to come in 68
th.
Trenton Webster and
Hunter Alsip caught four for a total of 7.42 pounds for 72
nd place, and another Drury boat featuring
Clay Henderson and
Zach Ward reeled in three fish for 6.25 pounds to finish 88
th. Bryce Soliday and
Dylan Chambers finished 123
rd with one fish at 3.96 pounds, and
Brock Bila was 138
th with one fish totaling 2.84 pounds.
The Panthers compete again on Friday in the Major League Fishing tour event on Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, Missouri.
