SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury University announced its 26
th Sports Hall of Fame induction class. Current Major League Baseball pitcher Trevor Richards, men's basketball standout Brandon Lockhart, Lady Panther Annie Armstrong, men's swimming student-athletes Jason Owen and Tomas Kuzvard, and women's diving student-athlete Lauren Bader will be part of this year's class.
This year's Hall of Fame Induction will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, with the ceremony and brunch in the Plaster Family Gallery in the O'Reilly Family Event Center at 10:30 am. The inductees will then be formally introduced between the basketball games at the O'Reilly Family Event Center later that afternoon. The women's game against Rockhurst tips off at 1 pm, with the men's game is scheduled for 3:15 pm.

Trevor Richards (Baseball)
Trevor Richards became the first Drury baseball alum to reach the major leagues in the modern era of the DU program when he debuted with the Miami Marlins in 2018. He now has four Major League Baseball seasons under his belt and finished the 2021 campaign with the Toronto Blue Jays, where he posted a 4-2 record in 32 appearances with a 3.31 earned run average. Richards started the year with Tampa Bay, was traded to Milwaukee, then dealt again to the Blue Jays. Despite multiple stops, he had his best season in majors so far, going a combined 7-2 with a 3.63 ERA in 38 games while striking out 53 against just 13 walks in 44.2 innings as a reliever.
The Aviston, Illinois native pitched four seasons for the Panthers (2012-2015) and left Drury ranked second all-time in strikeouts with 230 and career wins with 24. His 2.96 career ERA is also the second-lowest mark in program history. Richards was part of three NCAA-II tournament teams and two Great Lakes Valley Conference championship squads during his time with the Panthers. He was named All-GLVC three times and was an NCAA-II All-Midwest Region selection during his collegiate career.
Annie Armstrong (Women's Basketball)
Annie Armstrong was an honorable mention All-American as a senior for the Lady Panthers, an All-Midwest Region selection, and a two-time First Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honoree. In three years at Drury (2013-16), she ended her career ranked 11
th on the program's all-time scoring list with 1,179 points, and her career free throw percentage of .938 still ranks the best in program history. She led the nation in free-throw shooting in her junior and senior seasons, and she exited Drury as the program's all-time leader in field goal percentage (.457), while also sixth in three-pointers made (159) and assists (302).
The product of Springfield-Kickapoo HS started her collegiate career at Eckhard College in Florida before transferring to Drury as a sophomore. In her senior year, Armstrong helped the Lady Panthers to a 26-5 record and an appearance in the NCAA-II Midwest Regional finals. Drury was 26-4 and GLVC champions in her junior campaign. They posted a 27- 4 mark, were Midwest Region champions, and reached Elite Eight in her sophomore season of 2013-14.
Brandon Lockhart (men's basketball)
Brandon Lockhart was the point guard for Drury's 2013 NCAA-II National Championship team and was a two-time All-GLVC selection and an All-Midwest Region pick in 2013. He set a program record for career steals with 267, and left the team ranked fourth all-time in assists with 547. He scored 1,255 career points for Drury, 22
nd all-time, and his 137 points scored in the postseason of 2013 are still the second-most ever by a Panther.
In his senior year, Lockhart ranked eighth in all of Division II in steals averaging 2.9, and he was ninth in assists per game, averaging 6.1. He came through for the Panthers in the national semifinals scoring a season-high 24 points against Western Washington while putting up eight assists, six rebounds, and five steals.
Following his time at Drury, the St. Louis native played professionally in Europe for five years and averaged 28.4 points in Germany during his second season as a pro.
Lockhart had his number 21 jersey retired by the program in 2015 and is one of only six jerseys the program has retired in its 112-year history.
Jason Owen (Men's Swimming & Diving)
Jason Owen was a team captain on the Drury men's swimming & diving national championship team in 2002-03, was a four-time letterman, and earned 15 NCAA-II All-American awards. In his freshman season, he won the national championship in the 1650 Free, and won another national title on the 800 Free Relay team.
Owen was named Drury's Most Valuable Swimmer in his junior year, and he helped the Panthers to two national runner-up finishes and a third-place finish at nationals in addition to the 2003 national championship.
After receiving a degree in Exercise Science from Drury in 2003, he served as a graduate assistant coach for two years, then spent four years with the Panthers as a full-time assistant coach. During his time on the coaching staff, Drury won eight straight men's national championships and three women's national titles.
Owen is currently the head coach of the Lindenwood men's and women's swimming & diving program and has led those squads to national prominence, with both finishing in the top five of Division II in 2021.
Lauren Bader (Women's Swimming & Diving)
One of Drury's best divers in program history, Lauren Bader was a part of three NCAA-II National Championships during her career with the Panthers. Twice she earned Drury's Most Valuable Diver award as she was named to the honor in 2010, and she shared the award with Shealyn Hollard in 2009.
Bader qualified for the national championship meet every year of her career and was sixth in the nation in the 3-meter event at the 2010 NCAA-II national championships. She finished eighth in the 3-meter competition at nationals in her junior year and was 13
th overall in both of her seasons as an underclassman.
Bader received a degree from Drury in Biology, then earned a Master's in Biopsychology and a Doctorate in Philosophy and Child & Family Studies from Tennessee. She currently resides in France, where she works at the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse.
Tomas Kuzvard (Men's Swimming & Diving)
Tomas Kuzvard came to Drury from the Czech Republic and turned in one of the most prolific careers in the history of DU's storied swimming & diving program. He helped the Panthers to an NCAA-II national championship in every season of his career from 2005-2009.
Kuzvard earned All-American honors 21 times and won nine NCAA-II championships. He was a two-time national champ in the 200 Individual Medley and also took the championship in the 200 Backstroke, the 400 Individual Medley, and he was on five national championship relay teams.
Kuzvard received Drury's Dr. Edsel Matthews Award in 2009 for career excellence in athletics and academics - the highest honor bestowed to a Drury student-athlete.
Following his career at Drury, he served as a graduate assistant coach with the Panthers, spent a year as an assistant coach at Ohio Northern. Kuzvard was the head coach at the University of Missouri-St. Louis before moving to the Ann Arbor, Michigan, Parks & Recreation Department.
