Panthers and Flyers battle to scoreless tie

ROMEOVILLE, Ill.– The Drury Panthers started their final road trip of the regular season with a 0-0 tie at Lewis on Friday afternoon in Romeoville, Illinois.
 
Drury goes to 7-4-3 and 7-1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with the draw, while Lewis went to 8-3-3 and 6-3-2 in the league.
 
The Panthers blanked an opponent for the fifth time this season. Goalkeeper Yannick Lamers recorded his third shutout and the fifth he has been a part of this season. The senior saw five shots and made two saves, while Lewis goalkeeper Sabastian Doppelhofer stopped all five Drury shots on goal.
 
The draw extended Drury's unbeaten streak to six games, and they are 3-0-3 since Oct. 3.
 
The Panthers travel to second-ranked Indianapolis for their next game with kickoff at 1:30 pm (Central) on Sunday.
