SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury Panthers won their fourth-straight match with a 3-0 win over Maryville on Saturday at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Drury improved to 14-8 and 6-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Saints went to 8-13 and 1-9 in the league.
The Panthers cruised to a 25-15 win in the first set and pulled away for a 25-19 victory in the second. Drury took four of the last five points to take a tighter third set 25-22.
"I was proud of the girls in how they came back out after a big win last night and got it done, but also to get the win in three sets," said Panthers head coach
Jenifer Bahner. "We got to play a lot of people, and we were able to play
Hannah Tadlock full-time at the middle. It was good to have her out there and have
Taylor Forth leading our team and attacking in the same position."
Taylor Forth led the Panthers with 13 kills, five block assists, and a solo block.
Chloe Rear added 28 assists and nine kills, while
Juliana Squire contributed 24 digs. Tadlock registered a solo block and a pair of block assists.
Drury has another home match on Tuesday when they host Arkansas Tech in a non-conference match at 6 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
