SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Quincy took the third and fourth sets to defeat the Drury Panthers 3-1 on Tuesday night in Quincy, Illinois.
The Hawks improved to 7-9 and 4-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while Drury went to 10-6 and 3-4 in the GLVC.
Quincy pulled away from the Panthers in the first set and took a 1-0 lead with a 25-18 win in the opening frame. Drury evened the match with a 25-20 win the second, but the Hawks won the third, 25-18, and went on a late run in the fourth to close out the match 25-21.
Gabriela Oliveria led Drury with 13 kills, while
Juliana Squire had 11 kills and 10 digs.
Chloe Rear had a team-high 34 assists, and
Taylor Forth contributed five block assists. Four Quincy players reached double-figures in kills, led by Emily Rehagen and Emma Wijnbergen, who had 11 each.
Drury returns home for their next match when they take on 13
th ranked Lewis on Friday at 7 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
