Drury set to play #13 Lewis and Indianapolis at home ?
The Drury Panthers are home for matches in the Great Lakes Valley Conference this weekend when they host 13th ranked Lewis on Friday at 7 pm and Indianapolis on Saturday at 3 pm.
 
Drury is 10-6, 3-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and is in third place in the West Division. The Panthers are coming off of a 3-1 loss at Quincy on Tuesday. Drury enters the weekend with a 6-1 record on their home floor.
 
Lewis has won eight straight matches and is 13-3 with an 8-0 mark in the conference. The Flyers are in first place in the East Division and defeated Illinois Springfield in five sets on Tuesday, winning the fifth set 15-12. Indianapolis is 8-8, 4-3 in the GLVC, and in fourth place in the East. The Greyhounds are coming off of a 3-2 loss to Southern Indiana on Tuesday.
 
Lewis has won 17 of their 19 matches against Drury all-time and won last year's game in three sets on Feb. 28. The Panthers defeated the Flyers in 2018 at home and in 2005 at Romeoville, Illinois.
 
The Panthers are 4-13 all-time against Indianapolis, and the Greyhounds swept DU in last year's game on Feb. 20. UIndy has won the three meetings head-to-head, with Drury's last win in the series coming in 2018.
 
Drury is led by Makina Wratten, who is ranked fifth in the GLVC in blocks averaging 1.10 per set. Emma Fox is ranked eighth in the league in digs with 3.95 per set.
 
Lewis' Jamie Poppen leads the conference averaging 5.98 per set, while Lauren Stenman is the GLVC leader in assists averaging 10.42 per set. Ava Venema is third in the league in kills averaging 3.45 per set.
 
Grace Hegewood is averaging 3.15 kills per set, the seventh-best mark in the GLVC. Alex Equihua is ranked third in the conference in assists averaging 10.34 per set.

Drury's next event will be on October 15-16, when they travel to compete in the Regional Crossover Tournament. The match-ups for the tournament will be announced next week.
