Panthers conclude regular season at home this weekend
The Drury Panthers end the regular season with two games at home this weekend as they host William Jewell on Friday night at 7 pm, then Missouri S&T on Saturday at 3 pm at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury is 19-10, 9-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and in third place in the West Division. The Panthers are eighth in the league standings overall and are coming off of a five-set loss at Rockhurst on Tuesday.

Friday is Senior Night as the Panthers will honor their three senior players, Taylor Forth, Makina Wratten, and Maddie Baumer, before the game.

William Jewell is 8-21 and 2-17 in the GLVC. The Cardinals are coming off a win on Tuesday as they defeated Emporia State 3-0. Missouri S&T is in second place in the GLVC-West with an 11-5 record in the league and an 18-9 mark overall. The Miners enter the weekend winners of three straight and will play Rockhurst on Friday night in Rolla.

The Panthers are led by Makina Wratten and her 2.29 kills and 1.05 blocks per set. Last week, Wratten was the GLVC Offensive Player of the Week when she averaged three kills and one block per set to go with a hitting percentage of .595.

This weekend's games are the second meeting against both opponents for Drury. Last Saturday, the Panthers played William Jewell and prevailed in a five-set battle (22-25, 25-17, 25-20, 18-25, 15-10). Drury lost at Missouri S&T on Sept. 28, 3-1 (25-27, 25-17, 25-14, 28-26).

Should Drury earn a spot in the league's top eight, they will advance to the Great Lakes Valley Conference in East Peoria, Illinois, Nov. 19-21.
