ROMEOVILLE, Ill. –
Jamie O'Brien's goal in double-overtime sent Drury into the Great Lakes Valley Conference semifinals as the Panthers defeated Lewis 1-0 on Sunday in the quarterfinal round of the league tournament in Romeoville, Illinois.
The Panthers, seeded fifth on the conference bracket, advance with an 8-6-4 record, while the Flyers, the number four seed, drops to 11-4-3.
O'Brien ended the game in the 108
th minute as the senior from Darlington, England, found the net, and
Trevor Cairns was credited with the assist. The goal was O'Brien's ninth of the season and his fifth game-winner of the year.

Yannick Lamers picked up the win and the shutout as he kept Lewis off the board through regulation and a total of 108 minutes. The senior made four saves and faced 14 shots.
The win is Drury's first victory in the GLVC Tournament since 2014.
The Panthers will advance to the conference semifinals and play at Indianapolis on Friday. Game time will be determined later. The Greyhounds, the top seed and regular season champion in the GLVC, defeated eighth-seeded Lindenwood 2-0 on Sunday. Drury was the only road team to win in the GLVC quarterfinals on Sunday.
