OZARK, Mo.— The Drury Panthers scored six runs in the seventh inning, then three in the eighth to come from behind for a 10-9 win over William Jewell on Friday at US Baseball Park in Ozark.
Drury won their third straight and improved to 3-6 and 3-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Cardinals fell to 4-7 and 3-6 in the league.
Trailing 7-2, the Panthers scored six runs in the seventh to tie the game, evening the score on an RBI-single by
Aaron Mann.
William Jewell responded with two runs in the eighth to retake the lead 9-7, but Drury answered again. The Panthers took advantage of two Cardinals' errors in the inning.
Jackson Dierenfeldt tied the game with a single that scored
Ethan Owens. Dierenfeldt stole second, the came home for the go-ahead run on a triple by Mann.

Bayler Hinz retired William Jewell in the ninth inning to pick up the save.
Mann finished the game going 3 for 4 with two runs batted in, while
DJ McNew was 2 for 5 with three runs scored, an RBI, and a double.
Michael Barnes (1-0) got the win in relief for the Panthers, while Nyk Yaquab (1-2) took the loss for William Jewell. Hinz's save was his first of the year.
The two teams continue their four-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon at US Baseball Park.
