Panthers hold off Southwest Baptist 2-1

BOLIVAR, Mo.– Drury scored twice in the first half, then held off Southwest Baptist for a 2-1 over the Bearcats Friday night in Bolivar, Missouri.
 
The Panthers got on the board three minutes into the contest on Jamie O'Brien's first goal of the season. Trevor Cairns put Drury ahead 2-0 on a goal six minutes later.
 
Southwest Baptist scored early in the second half as Jaden Hayes pulled his squad within one on his first goal of the year. The Panthers held on the final 50 minutes for the win.
 
Drury improved to 2-1 while dropping the Bearcats to 0-1-1.
 
The Panthers return to the field on March 12 when they take on Missouri S&T in Rolla at 7:30 pm.
