TAHLEQUAH, Okla.- Northeastern State outslugged Drury to sweep the Panthers in a doubleheader on Saturday in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The RiverHawks won the first game 12-11 in 10 innings, then took the second game 11-5 in six innings.

Drury fell to 4-5 while Northeastern State improved to 8-4.

Drury lost the first game in a slugfest as the two teams combined for 28 hits and five home runs in the 10-inning game.

Trailing 7-5 going into the seventh, the Panthers rallied with four runs in the top half of the frame as
Rylee Kolb's two-run home run tied the game, then
Hannah Chambliss put Drury in front with a two-RBI single.

Northeastern State countered, however, and forced extra innings with two runs in the bottom half of the frame on a double by Addy Wolfe.

Drury went back in front in the eighth on a two-run homer by
Abbey McAteer. The RiverHawks stayed alive with two runs in the bottom half of the frame, then won the game in the 10
th on an RBI-single by Cat Rodman.

In game two, the Panthers fell behind early as Northeastern State scored five runs in the first. Drury scored four times in the fifth to get within two runs of the lead, 7-5, but the RiverHawks scored four runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning to take back control of the game.

The game was called for darkness after the top of the sixth.

Lauren Beier went 3 for 4 at the plate for Drury, while
Rylee Kolb was 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI.Â

The Panthers return home to play Pittsburg State on Tuesday with a doubleheader starting at 3 pm.
